I thought this might be of interest to the OSSIE crowd and TNG if they're in the Pasadena area. (And hey, it would be a great talk for next year's SCALE too.)
Dr. Christine Corbett Moran (Caltech), who was one of our SCALE keynote speakers last year, will be speaking at SGVLUG about a summer high school coding apprenticeship she ran called Summer App Space
It resulted in an open source curriculum on Python and space science that anyone can use for self-study. Her textbook, slides, problem sets, and lecture videos are available, as well as videos of the presentations by her guest speakers.
