Some experience a newbie gained last year:

Some people can get picky, so the more legitimate forms of ID you can
bring (and the more closely they match your email address), the
better.
Also, be sure to explicity state whether you want your key published
to a public database.
It wouldn't hurt to set an expiration date on your key either, to
prepare for unforseen circumstances.
