Party Night activity suggestions

SCaLE Planners and Chairs, we've got a great party planned this year for saturday, 1/21, 9pm-midnight! iXsystems, CityGrid, Media Temple, and Google are all sponsoring this big event. there is over thirteen thousand square feet down in the Plaza Ballroom, and it's not all filled yet. people asked for a few activities that are more elaborate, and we've already contracted with two companies to have those brought in. but now that those are in place, i'd like to add in more things we can stage ourselves. especially, i have this great space right at the entrance that needs something really exciting to greet people as they walk in. any ideas? ...lori

Greetings, Saturday, November 12, 8:00am to 2:00pm, Foundation for Successful Solutions (FSS) and BDPA-Los Angeles Chapter will be hosting and e-waste collection and recycling event. This event will raise funds for FSS and BDPA-LA community-based technology access, education, and training programs for youth and adults. The collection event will be held on the parking lot of the Congregational Church of Christian Fellowship, 2085 South Hobart Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90018. Simply drive through the lot; *you won't even have to get out of the car. We'll have people to unload your car or truck for you.* Special after event pick-ups for large items or large quantities can be arranged by calling FSS at 323.300.6077. Graphic Design Help Needed for SCALE 10x

Hello, Its that time of year again and we are starting to kick of SCALE plans for SCALE 10x, our 2012 event. That's right, this year will will mark 10 years of SCALE! While we are always looking for help with all areas of SCALE, this year we have (2) pressing areas where we are hoping to recruit additional contributors. 1) Graphic Design - We've recently had some team members change roles and now have a strong need for volunteers who can take lead on designing our conference program guide, signs, ads and other materials. Ron who has done an amazing job with these for 7 years, but has recently taken lead on developing our conference website. 2) Sponsorship - The SCALE exhibit hall continues to grow by leaps and bounds each year. With the number of sponsors and exhibitors likely to continue to grow for 2012, our sponsorship committee is seeking volunteers to help with sponsorship recruitment. If neither of these are areas where you think you can personally help, but you have other skills/experience you feel would be beneficial to SCALE please let us know. We can always use the extra hands! We hope to see everyone at SCALE 10x in February. Regards, Ilan
