Regards, Ilan - - Keynotes * Talk must be new, revised, or not given recently. * Acceptance of keynotes to ideally be complete by mid-october * Suggestions on keynote speakers or topics to SCALE-Chairs or SCALE-planning before end of week. Graphic Design Help Needed for SCALE 10x

Hello, Its that time of year again and we are starting to kick of SCALE plans for SCALE 10x, our 2012 event. That's right, this year will will mark 10 years of SCALE! While we are always looking for help with all areas of SCALE, this year we have (2) pressing areas where we are hoping to recruit additional contributors. 1) Graphic Design - We've recently had some team members change roles and now have a strong need for volunteers who can take lead on designing our conference program guide, signs, ads and other materials. Ron who has done an amazing job with these for 7 years, but has recently taken lead on developing our conference website. 2) Sponsorship - The SCALE exhibit hall continues to grow by leaps and bounds each year. With the number of sponsors and exhibitors likely to continue to grow for 2012, our sponsorship committee is seeking volunteers to help with sponsorship recruitment. If neither of these are areas where you think you can personally help, but you have other skills/experience you feel would be beneficial to SCALE please let us know. We can always use the extra hands! We hope to see everyone at SCALE 10x in February. Regards, Ilan

next year's ballroom bash

hey, scale-planners! this is my first post. i'm not even sure who all is on this list....i'm a SCaLE volunteer and one of my responsibilities this year was filling up the Hilton Plaza Ballroom with fun. (it was a dreadful task, but you know, *someone's* got to do it. ;-) in case you missed it, i'm talking about the laser tag/game room downstairs that started after Weakest Geek. i'd like to ask all of you for feedback on how you think this year's event went. all comments are welcome: best and worst aspects, etc. and secondly, please share any suggestions you have for next year. there are things i'd like sure to see done better. and there are new activities i think we could try. but i had so much say already in what went on this year, i'd like to see everyone else ideas first. ah, and remember, next year is our 10th anniversary. ...lori

Congratulations! But video doesn't work?

Hi! Congratulations on a great conference, I had fun. But when I try to look at the video of my talk via http://www.socallinuxexpo.org/scale9x/presentations/my-god-its-full-games it just sort of sits there, saying "video loading, be patient", and never shows anything.
