Greetings everyone,
From time to time SCALE needs your help to promote the show by helping us to get the word out, this is one of those times. We want to get the word out to as many free and open source projects about SCALE. The goal of course is to get as many of these great projects to exhibit at the show as we can. How can you help? By digging the article below. The more diggs we get, the greater the chance that it will appear on Digg's front page.
Thanks everyone! Gareth

Hello,
I wanted to let you guys know that the Organizing team for PostgreSQL conference has decided to "not" do the Web Tech conference with SCALE. We sincerely appreciate the effort that has gone into this thus far but we don't think we can have a successful conferences so close together. As you may recall, we would be having one in Feb and March if we do SCALE.
However, we still very much want to attend SCALE and would like for PostgreSQL to have a booth. I will also be submitting a talk and asking others in the community to do the same.
So again, thanks for the consideration of it but at this time we would just like a booth. We will also be putting forth effort within our community to help you promote SCALE in general. We think it is a great conference and deserves to grow.
As a question, has Debian committed to a booth yet? I can probably help via SPI to make sure they have a presence.
Sincerely,
Joshua D. Drake

Joshua,
We are sorry to hear we will be unable to collaborate on this project this year. Please touch bases with us again when you begin planning your '09 events.
Gareth will be contacting you shortly regarding your application for a SCALE .ORG booth.
Regards, Ilan

Joshua,
Sorry to hear that the PostgreSQL Day won't be happening at SCALE 6x, if there is interest there for pairing for the 2009 show we should definitely talk and plan early.
As fas as the PostgreSQL booth at 6x, I have your application and will be making the second round of announcements towards the end of November. You should expect to see something then.
Debian has applied to exhibit and was accepted.
Thanks! Gareth

Howdy,
Happy New Year to all. Hope everyone had a nice holiday. :)
I am looking for exhibit dates/hours information, but could not find it on the SCaLE website. I was wondering if there was a show schedule somewhere. We have someone flying in from overseas who need to book a flight soon, so we specifically need to know (at least) if the exhibits run for two or three days (it is not clear from the info on the website).
Can anyone please confirm if the exhibits start on Fri 2/8 or if they are only on the 2/9 and 10 weekend?
Thanks!
Jorge Mare
Jorge,
Happy New Year to you too!
The exhibit floor will be open on Saturday and Sunday, the 9th and 10th respectively. Setup will available on Friday starting around noon, depending on the how quickly the room is setup. Friday will be for the speciality sessions, the Women in Open Source, Open Source Software in Education and Open Source and Healthcare events.
Exhibitors can expect to see an exhibitor kit with all of this and other relevant information very soon.
Thanks! Gareth

The expo floor will be open on 2/9 - 2/10. Conference sessions will run 2/8 - 2/10. The 2/8 sessions will include our niche events -Demonstrating Open Source Health Care Solutions -Women in Open Source -Open Source Software in Education.
The final schedule will be available online in the next few days, but the expo floor hours will be 10am - 6pm on both days.
