Guidebook automation

This year I wrote automation around Guidebook. It was enough to run a script and suck in data without dealing with the CVS import stuff. However, there's more to be done - ideally we'd get to a point where it can just be cron'd. I've created a Project on the GH repo to track the necessary work: https://github.com/socallinuxexpo/program-generation/projects/1 Ilan - one of them would require an addition to the Guidebook API - do we have a contact there we could request that through? Today you cannot publish guide changes through the API. Ron - one those would is around the website. Do you think the CVS-export links could be non-auth'd? At leats for the 'accepted' one, there's no non-public data there, it's ismply the Schedule in CVS format. Missing Radio Ear pieces

Hello, Thanks to all who helped with SCALE this year! I imagine you're all getting some much needed rest, and catching up on your personal lives. I'd like to ask for your help though. We're trying to locate a few missing ear pieces from the radios we rented from the venue this year. We're missing about 4 of them and theres a hefty $100 per unit replacement fee. If you held on to one by mistake or find it in your pockets, please reach out off list (ilan(a)linuxfests.org) so we can return them. Thanks, Ilan

SCALE folks - recommend assisting with Big Data Day LA

Hi, Thanks again for everyone helping make SCALE 16x a great event. I would like to recommend volunteering and helping assist with Big Data Day LA. USC will sponsor the facilities. Subash has formed a good team around this event, and they do a good job of organizing it. There is some good organizational practices we can learn from them, as well as some good things they can learn from us. Thus I am encouraging those participating in each group to help cross pollination between the groups. With the hope that each group can learn a bit more from the others. Q: TechFair 2018 landed on Thur March 8, 2018 .. if you could what would you do?

Hi, Q: TechFair 2018 landed on Thur March 8, 2018 - the same as the first day of SCALE 16x. If possible what is preferred? Same time as SCALE? Before SCALE? After SCALE? Is there anything in particular you would do with the techfair if you could? Thank You Matti

I wanted to thank everyone for helping to make SCALE a great event. I checked on the last hour of sessions and they were all well attended considering that they were the last session on Sunday. The attendees we well engaged at the end, and in some cases the session continued out into the hallway after it had officially wrapped up. The attendees I spoke to all wanted to congratulation you, the team of volunteers who put SCALE together. Great job team! Also, I will be representing SCALE at the upcoming ISSA-LA summit on May 4th 2018 iat the Universal City Hilton and currently have the SCALE banner. If anyone needs it before then PLEASE let me know ASAP. Thank You Matti

Q: SCALE 17x data, and Pasadena Art night and SCALE

Hi, I'm in the process of preparing for community outreach for SCALE 17x. 1) At the end of March there is a Innovate Pasadena collaborator lunch which I plan to attend to reach out to the community members there and invite greater participation at SCALE. During this time I will need to share with them a way to connect with us to help us build a stronger pro-open source community. We will have a wide variety of people there from business people to educational. ( if anyone else would like to join us there, I would be happy to see if I can get an invite for you to it. ) 2) I will be promoting SCALE at the ISSA-LA summit on May 4, 2018. I would like to printout a poster with the SCALE dates on it, and a max door price for attendees. Thank You Matti

Please post parking/venue info under Information (Was Re: Where is venue/parking info on SCALE website?

Could someone add the parking/transportation/venue information to the dropdown menu under Information? So far, the only information you can get is hotel information. It's starting to become important to me to be able to easily point people to parking information. BoFs not on schedule, no whiteboard

We have a number of published BoFs not showing on the site or guidebook. We also do not have the whiteboard we normally use for BoFs and jobs. Can anyone assist with either of these? Jill
