Hi SCALE Fam,
One of the things I'd always loved about SCALE is that the Saturdays are
family friendly. You can go to the conference to see your techie
friends, but you can also share your techie interests with your kids,
culminating in Game Night.
If you don't know what I mean, then it's a sign we need help promoting
SCALE Youth: The Next Generation, a program aimed at students in grade 6-12
to get them excited about open source technology.. We put together a cool
program and we want more students to take advantage of it.
1) If you are a parent or know parents with techie kids, let them know they
can bring their kids to SCALE. You can get a Kid Pass with a SCALE Pass.
TNG is this Saturday, 11am to 5pm at the Pasadena Convention Center. We
have great talks by student speakers and we have a bunch of hands-on
activities and volunteers to help guide them.

2) If you know school clubs, STEM academies, after school programs, youth
groups, K-12 teachers, parents, or students who are tech-curious, please
use the resources below to spread the word.

Here's a blurb that you can use, but feel free to use your own words.
I’m reaching out to share an opportunity for your students through the *TNG
Youth Track,* a program designed specifically for middle and high school
students attending the SCALE Conference.
*The Next Generation,* or TNG*,* is the Youth Track at SCALE. It’s focused
on giving middle and high school
students hands-on exposure to open-source technology through interactive
workshops, live demos, and
student-led talks. The goal is to spark curiosity, confidence, and interest
in technology and open source,
whether students are just getting started or already exploring STEM
pathways. We also encourage students to participate in the hands-on
activities through a passport program with some nifty prizes like Raspberry
Pi kits, 3D printed goodies, micro:bits, etc.
