i like the idea of telling redditors, but i agree that weekly is probably too much this early on. how about starting some sort of countdown to SCaLE16x? i think tomorrow we'll be 90 days out.

Would weekly run the risk of coming off as spammy?

I've seen posts advertising SCALE on r/LosAngeles in years past, so yeah, you should definitely at least post something advertising the event as it approaches even if it's just a general announcement for potential attendees

Hi! Just an FYI, I'm a big redditor. I can post in the tech/L.A. subreddits.

We have some ads up on volunteer match. The linkedin integration looks interesting.

i've heard about that linkedin feature for recruiting volunteers,
sounds
like a great resource.

It was a pretty big event with lots of exhibits and lots of
attendees. I
think the target audience was mostly kids and their parents. Jess
made me a
flyer with the promo code, which I posted all over our booth. But I
think
the value would've been more in recruiting volunteers, activities
for game
night, or the Next Generation.

This is interesting. I did not know that Volunteer Match could use
to recruit volunteers. https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/view/volunteer%3A-help-bring-s
