We usually rent (2) large whiteboards for use for BoF planning and a job board.
The vendors we used in the past have either gone out of business or no longer rent out whiteboards.
Anyone want to volunteer to help us find a new vendor? 16 days to SCALE!

Instead of that, it would be much more cost effective to buy a couple and give them away afterwards.

Online purchases of a 8"x6" whiteboard came out to about $400 each after tax and shipping. The challenge is we can only receive shipments at the venue for a very short window on 3/8, so someone would need to receive the delivery. We'd also have to assemble it when it arrives.

Ya, a few months ago he said they no longer service LA. Something about an employee stealing all the whiteboards during the pandemic. He only does San Diego and SF. I dont know what his rates in 2023 would be but in 2019 they were $344.13 including markers and delivery.

I have a 4' high x 8' long whiteboard in storage ($prior job was pitching it), we could hang it on the back of one of the carts for the show. something that large won't fit in the tech storage.
Since I'm picking up the truck on the 3rd, I can accept delivery at my house and add it to the truck. The question would be what to do with it after (I do have other nonprofits who could use them if nobody else has destinations and they won't fit in the other storage)

we have a 10x9.5' space, and have 1x 6'7" x 23" and 5x 6'x23" carts we fit in it, there is _very_ little space (especially as the door is not wide enough for a cart to go in flat)
the monitor cart has a 3.5" x 33" tall offset from the back that something up to 6' long could be put (I have considered putting a whiteboard there)
I suspect that a plasma cutter's heat will damage the whiteboard coating

Um, yeah. The plasma cutter was offered as a farcical answer to the problem as I figured the thought of cutting the board in half was at least half in jest.
