Anyone want to volunteer to write a Things to do in Pasadena blog post?

This year SCaLE coincides with Pasadena's semi-annual ArtNight - might be good to include this on a "Things to do in Pasadena" page, esp. good for families who may be traveling with attendees:

You make the pilgrimage to SCaLE to soak up four days of Open Source goodness and maybe a little California sun. Even the most dedicated technophile needs some time to decompress though, right? Maybe you're looking for something to do with the family since The Next Generation track and events like Game Night make SCaLE an increasingly family-friendly destination.
Pasadena may be best known for its rose themed parade and sports venue but it is also home to many cultural, dining and shopping spots. Take a stroll through Old Town, enjoy European and Asian art at the Norton Simon or take a selfie at the picturesque City Hall. In fact, Art Night Pasadena overlaps with SCaLE this year. Free buses shuttle visitors between 19 cultural centers Friday from 6-10 P.M.
For more on Art Night, see their page: http://www.artnightpasadena.org/ More ideas on things to do in Pasadena and Southern California, check out the city's Visitor's Guide or Google's travel guide. https://www.visitpasadena.com/ https://www.google.com/destination?q=pasadena&num=100&output=search&...

It's probably too late to add this, but the Los Angeles County Arboretum in Arcadia is a neat place to visit. The peacocks strut around as if they own the place.
It's about 15 minutes from Pasadena and is open from 9am to 4:30pm http://www.arboretum.org/visit/hours-and-admission/
Additionally, there is always the Huntington Library in Pasadena, which as cool exhibits and a large, diverse botanical garden. The ticket fee is a bit expensive for me, but the Orientation Gallery, Huntington Shop, and Cafe are free to the public. http://www.huntington.org/
