Hello,
We've posted the Sheraton Hotel room block on the website:
http://www.socallinuxexpo.org/scale/17x/hotel-information
Wanted to give you all a heads up so you can book your rooms before we
publish it more widely.
Sheraton always sells quickly out so book early!
Ilan
moin moin,
I was asked if CfP reviews are done. I haven't seen anything. I thought
the response deadline had been end of November, but there isn't a date on
the CfP when I look now.
End of year is a busy time, so rather than being impatient I'll offer to
help :).
If I can help, please let me know. If things are progressing and we just
need to be patient I'll pass that message along.
Hope life is grand for everyone!
ciao,
der.hans

Hi all,
SGVHAK will be at the DTLA Mini Maker Faire on Saturday at the Los Angeles
Central Library. It'd probably be a good place to promote SCALE and get
ideas for that hands-on activity area we are planning for the exhibit
hall. I have a lot of SCALE t-shirts still, so I plan on handing them out
there, particularly the youth sizes.
It might also be a good place to look for participants in The Next
Generation track. There will be some high school groups there. In fact,
Santa Susana High School students will be at the JPL Open Source Rover
booth; they were one of the beta build groups in addition to our SGVHAK
group. We helped exercise the documentation and show that we could build a
rover in about 3 months, under budget.

Please come join us to check out the fair, and we wouldn't mind help
promoting SCALE, as well, as we'll be quite busy running our booths.

Hi,
Looks like a great chance to connect with numerous user groups in the OC to
help encourage greater community participation at SCALE 17x.
Recommend anyone close to OC to go and help promote SCALE 17x there.

Thank You
Matti
moin moin,
can we push the deadline back a day for SCaLE18x?
Having the deadline on Halloween makes it difficult to finish last minute
reviews and proposals for many of us.
Hope everyone had a great Halloween :).
